Inclusive Environment
At Queen’s Academy, we are dedicated to creating a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for all students. To ensure children’s success and enjoyment in our programs, we kindly request that guardians inform us at registration about any allergies, medical conditions, physical, emotional, or learning needs, or disabilities your child may have. We welcome children of all abilities to try out our programs to see if Queen’s Academy is the right fit. Our group classes are run by supportive teachers who strive to create a safe, welcoming, joyful, and flexible environment for everyone.
Diversity & Inclusion
Queen’s Academy celebrates diversity in all its forms! We are an LGBTQ+, women, disability, and Black-owned business committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable program. We hope to create a safe environment, value and celebrate diverse experiences and ensure that all instructors, students, and volunteers’ voices are heard and respected, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, identity, class, or education. Our programs include diverse perspectives and materials to ensure all students feel represented and respected.
Subsidy Program
We believe all kids deserve the opportunity to enrich their lives through the arts, and we strive to keep our programs financially accessible for families. Queen’s Academy offers a limited number of reduced-fee spots through our Subsidy Program.
If your family is interested in financial assistance, please visit our Subsidy Application Page to learn more.
Accessibility and Learning Needs
We recognize that everyone learns differently. At Queen’s Academy we aim to accommodate a variety of accessibility and needs; including but not limited to varying disabilities, health conditions, English as an additional language, and changing family circumstances.
Personalized Support Planning
To ensure each student feels supported, confident, and ready to enjoy their time with us, we connect with families whose children express benefiting from additional accommodations or individualized support. This brief conversation helps us understand your child as a whole person—what they enjoy, what helps them thrive, and how we can best support their experience at camp.
When we speak, our goal is to collaborate with you and learn more about your camper. We may chat about things like:
-
Your child’s interests, strengths, and what makes them awesome
-
Any dislikes, sensitivities, or situations they find challenging
-
How your child communicates their needs or emotions
-
Supports or strategies they currently use at school or at home
-
Whether they need assistance with any daily or personal care routines
-
Activities, topics, or environments that bring them joy
These conversations are relaxed, supportive, and judgment-free. We’re here to listen, learn, and work with you to set your child up for success. Our priority is always to create an inclusive, welcoming experience where every kid feels they belong.

Land Acknowledgment
As a Black-led arts organization, we acknowledge the harms and injustices of the past. We are committed to walking alongside Indigenous communities on the path to truth, reconciliation, and decolonization.
Serving students across the Lower Mainland, we are grateful to live, work, and create on the traditional and unceded territories of the Xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, Səl̓ílwətaʔɬ, and Qʷʔa:n̓ƛ̓ən̓ Nations. We honour these relationships and practice purposeful acts of inclusion, respect, and community-building through the arts.
