Meet The Instructors
Miss Queen!
Queen is the Founder & Artistic Director of Queen’s Academy and has been teaching musical theatre children’s programs since 2013. Queen believes all kids can benefit from a performing arts experience which is why she founded Queen’s Academy. Queen focuses on building children’s confidence, empowering creative expression, and developing life skills. Queen holds a Musical Theatre Diploma, is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts from Capilano University and soon a Teaching Degree from SFU. When not teaching, she can be found on hikes with her dog, eating chocolate, and playing board games!
Miss Harmeet!
Harmeet is a music teacher, composer, and bassist from Surrey BC. She is a passionate teacher who loves sharing the joy of music and the arts with her students. She teaches at the VSO School of Music and Queen’s Academy. Harmeet is currently a student in Capilano University’s Arts and Entertainment Management program and has graduated from the VSO Performance Prep Program. When Harmeet is not teaching you can find her playing bass, going out for walks, and colouring!
Teacher Liam!
Liam has been teaching children in the arts since 2018. With extensive experience within both the Canadian Improv Games and the Vancouver Improv scene Liam uses their expertise in spontaneity and high energy to invigorate kids and parents alike. With a background in theatre, music, and education, Liam cultivates a welcoming and inclusive educational space filled to the brim with a palpable passion for the art of musical theatre!
Teacher Grace!
Grace, a singer/songwriter and music enthusiast from Red Deer, Alberta brings a unique blend of musical talent and a heart for making a difference. With roots in Kelowna and a background in Audio Engineering, Grace is passionate about working with children and aims to become a music therapist to positively impact young lives through music. When not creating melodies, Grace finds joy in nurturing young musical minds and sharing the beauty of music with the next generation.
Miss Julia!
Julia is an actor, singer, and performer with a life-long love of musical theatre. She has recently graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting and is incredibly excited to begin venturing out into the world of theatre and teaching post-graduation. Julia loves sharing her passion for theatre, music, and art, which has led her to many amazing teaching opportunities including UBC Camps, Place des Arts, and local elementary schools. She has had the privilege of learning from many incredible teachers in her life and is very excited to continue the cycle and impact young lives with the gift of Arts Education at Queen's Academy! When Julia is not teaching or performing, she enjoys watching basketball, playing with her dog, and snuggling up with a good book.
